Letter signed Charlotte RogeĢ. Bates gives Silsby permission to use a poem for a one volume poetic tribute to Shakespeare. She also provides a copy of a sonnet on Shakespeare taken from her Risk and other poems, published in 1879. First line of poem: Adam of poets! Thou must once have felt.
